I don’t understand why when Black women express their pain, some get scared.

This happened a few years back when Lauryn Hill released a series of songs for an album called MTV Unplugged 2.0 where critics called her “unhinged” because she wept while performing a few songs.

And now Beyonce…

In her latest studio album called Lemonade, Beyonce is expressing her pain around an issue that many have faced – infidelity. Despite the hurt associated with a cheating partner, her pain is classified as militant – and as one conservative pundit expressed, Lemonade is planting the seeds “to start a race war.”

Like, really?

No, Beyonce is not starting a race war. No, she’s not militant. She’s a woman simply expressing that she’s hurting. Get over it.
