As some of you know, I’m rebranding. The effort hasn’t been easy, but then again, nothing worth having really is. I’m giving it the code name of Leesa 2.0 until I launch the week of September 15, 2008.
I want to share with you a photo that a talented amateur photographer took of me earlier this week. While we took over 100, there were 4 that really stood out. I’m sharing one of them right now.
I posted the picture on the left to Facebook and Twitter and asked this question:
“Any guesses what my new brand is about based on my new picture?”
I got many replies via Twitter. But the one I liked the best was this one from a woman (I won’t reveal who she is because she sent me a direct message):
“You look great, Leesa. I’m jealous. Pardon me while I go for a run and drink a gallon of water.”
Yup, that’s the reaction I wanted. Not the part where she says she’s jealous, but the part where she says she’s going for a run and will drink tons of water.
My recent presentation at the New Media Expo started off with stretches and jumping jacks. As one person noted on his blog, attending my session was a lowlight for him because:
“Doing aerobics with my new friend George Krueger from The Bigg Success Podcast for part of Leesa Barnes presentation. It is just not natural for two large men to do aerobics at a techy conference or anywhere else frankly.”
I know Mike meant that comment more tongue in cheek, but this should give you even more insight into the new brand. Active living. That’s been my mantra all my life. A prosperous business is a reflection of a healthy business owner. Now, I’m combining the two so I can help you energize your body and energize your brand.
So, what message are you getting from my photo above? And more importantly, what do you do to stay active?
Hey Leesa,
Looking great! Your new image (I noticed you changed your photos a little while ago) is very sporty and fresh. Congrats to you on merging your two loves through personal branding.
Cheers,
Stephanie
Well, I think you look great, confident and happy.
But you always seemed that way to me so maybe I am not the right person to ask.
Best always,
– Peter
You are definitely the picture of health! It’s hard to stay active when you’re stuck at a desk all day, but I try to get out and walk 5K or so at least once a week.
