By way of Krishna De and Paul Colligan, I found out that one of my favourite tools of all time, Camtasia Studio, is free for a very limited time. Go to either Krishna or Paul’s website for the download information.
I can’t tell you how much I love Camtasia. I’ve used it to create all my screen capturing tutorials, for example:
- What Is Podcasting?
- 7 Steps to Podcasting for Profit
- Virtual Tour for Six Figure Podcasting Success Club
- And of course, all the ones in both my membership websites
Here are some other ways I use Camtasia Studio:
- A Speech Giveaway. Whenever I prepare a speech, I practice it a few times to clean up any concepts and to check my timing. On my very last practice run, I launch Camtasia, open my slides and record myself. I post the finished file to my blog. When I go to the event and complete my speech, I encourage those who want the presentation slides along with my voice to hand me their business cards. It’s the perfect freebie that I can offer in exchange for their email address.
- Tutorials for a Membership Website. I run two membership websites with another launching in the new year. In both, I use Camtasia to post video tutorials showing the click-by-click steps on how to do something with a podcast.
- Paid Podcast Subscriptions. You can use Camtasia to create video tutorials to accompany an audio podcast. For example, let’s just say in your audio podcast, you interview experts. One of your experts explains why it’s beneficial to use Camtasia. You can then offer a step-by-step video tutorial showing how to use Camtasia that your listeners pay to access.
Man, I could go on and on. Any other ideas come to mind on how to use Camtasia? Don’t forget to download a free copy (scroll back to the top to go to Krishna or Paul’s website).
Samuel, apparently, this deal was not meant to be. See: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia/pcpls.asp
