My pal (he knows I call him this) and mentor (he doesn’t know I call him this), Scott Bourne has partnered with Podango as an executive strategic advisor, according to their press release.
Exciting news for podcasting since Scott, who hosts a couple of podcasts on Leo Laporte’s TWIT network, has a serious passion for this field. The guys behind Podango, Lee Gibbons and Doug Smith, both of whom I met at the Podcast & New Media Show have one of the coolest podcasting platforms out there.
What makes Podango so unique?
You can create stations that includes podcasts focused on one topic. So, if I wanted to search for fitness podcasts, instead of wading through hundreds of podcasts, some of which may not have been updated in eons, a station manager selects the best of the best and includes those podcasts in the fitness category. I then get a page with a small selection of quality fitness podcasts.
On top of that, the station manager can make money and split that revenue amongst the podcast producers within his or her station. Plus, Podango is very user-friendly and Lee & Doug are 2 of the most passionate men I met. They really do care about podcasting and about helping podcasters achieve results.
A win-win for all and I highly encourage you to explore Podango for yourself. Some of you are sitting on the very station idea that Lee & Doug are looking for.
Congrats to Scott, Lee & Doug on the coming together of such an innovative group.

Thanks for the heads up I produce two podcasts and I’m trying to get listed everywhere I can.
