Penny Haynes, the woman I credit with introducing me to podcasting back in 2004, runs an annual conference online called the International Podcasting Expo. She ran the first one in 2005 and I’ve participated every year either as a speaker or an attendee.
Penny is looking for speakers who can present on advanced podcasting tactics. Here’s a snippet from her email:
Although we will still have 2 tracks – one for beginners with how to’s and introductory courses, I really want to expand our Advanced Section with more meaty subjects and information that can positively affect our bottom line as podcasters.
So if you have something you have learned in your experience as a podcaster, please contact me. It’s not about big names, it’s about real experience. So you can email me.
The big thing to note is that she wants podcasters with experience to present on advanced topics. So, you don’t have to be a celebrity and you don’t have to be a big name. You just have to have the battle scars to prove that you’ve been in the trenches and now, you can share your first-hand knowledge on an advanced topic.
Send an email to Penny if you want to pitch an advanced podcasting speaking topic – penny [at] 1stpod [dot] com
Sorry — Penny Haynes’ way.
Thanks for the info, Leesa!
And I’m sure it’s a great way to throw a bunch of interested, motivated, and hopefully interesting folk Penny Hayes’ way.
