My Three Daily Practices

by | Feb 19, 2016 | Personal

There are 3 daily practices that I MUST do to help me rid my body of physical, emotional and spiritual toxins:

1 – I must laugh. Before I go to bed, I watch a few funny videos on YouTube. Or, I spend some time in conversation with those I know will make me see the positive of life.

2 – I must pray. I never knew how important it is to connect with the Most High until I went a few days WITHOUT praying. I felt a heaviness in my soul that brought me a place of anxiety, worry and apathy. Praying lifted those negative emotions and I realize that connecting with God removes the negative forces trying to discourage and defeat me.

3 – I must exercise. I heard recently that sweating is the body’s way of removing toxins, so I do some form of exercise each day. Now that the weather’s nice, I jump on my bike and hit the many trails in my city. I often stop to marvel at the centuries old trees and listen to the rushing water I pass on my bike rides. Staying still under the canopy of leaves and trees is so refreshing. It might sound strange, but I feel an immense amount of wisdom building in me because the trees have been there before me and will be there after me.

What are the daily practices you MUST do daily to refresh your soul, rid yourself of toxins and sharpen your wisdom?
