Michael Port’s Advice on How Small Companies Can Think & Act Big

A Friday morning coffee with my friend, Michael Port, turned into a quick commute to Toronto Pearson International airport so he could re-book a missed flight.

While he drove me in my car to the airport, I pulled out my video camera so I could capture Michael’s thoughts on his newest book, The Think Big Manifesto. It’s a fun interview and when you read the show notes below, you’ll see why it’s well worth the 8-minute watch.

How did I ever miss this post? Ack! Better late than never? I’ll buy it, LOL!

Anyway, GREAT short interview Leesa. The show notes alone are my exact thoughts, well except the parts of singing and the almost car accident. 😉

I look forward to reading Michael’s latest book. Thanks for sharing good [compelling] stuff.

Leesa, what a great interview. Michael is always so easy to listen to and his insight is right on…I wish we could hear more of that type of perspective every day. I love his philosophy and can’t wait to read the Think Big Manifesto.

Great insights into Michael’s view of the world.

Leesa what camera did you use to film – the quality is so good !

You reap what you sow and do until others as you would have them do until you. This is what I hear Michael saying (through my filters) in his closing thoughts, which I agree with wholeheartedly. It’s refreshing to hear a successful business man putting his customers first and not be all about the money. Thanks for sharing. I take it he was at the right terminal and was able to board his plane on time. 🙂

I never would have guessed Michael to be 38! That’s much too young to have said all there is to say, I think. 😀

You were holding that camera pretty steady, Leesa. Must have been one smooth ride!

    Bon dia, Leesa!

Okay, first of all, you need to sing more at the beginning of your videos! Nice.

I have a few of Michael’s books and I look forward to his latest book. I heard him speak at a seminar and I thought he was one of the most down to earth speakers I’ve ever met. You’re in that same category so it’s great to see the both of you communicate together in this video. Thanks for sharing!

    Have a great day!

Excellent video, Leesa. You are great. And Michael seems to be a very authentic person who truly is excited about the way of the future. I’m happy to be a part of the Think Big Revolution and hope to contribute in small ways that will reap great rewards – not money rewards, but rewards in terms of my positive and impactful interactions with people.

I have taken two of Michael’s courses and he helped me to focus on my current project

The Art of Storytelling with Children A podcast for the storytelling community. I love how this project really ties into his ideas of creating a success by including people. I am looking forward to reading this book.

Michael at his best. He re-defines transparency, is willing to put his thoughts out there, no matter how much controversy and inspires all of us to think bigger on a daily basis.

I really appreciate the depth of Michael’s integrity. I find his transparency very refreshing. You can see that he feels this very deeply – to do right by his readers, listeners and those who buy his products. I believe he has opened up a very thorny issue and ofcourse not every one will agree. I do appreciate Michael’s willingness to put it right out there, come what may.
