Annoyed Wife Pleads With Voters to Re-elect Husband in Funny Political Ad

This is an awesome political ad!

Gerald Daugherty is a politician. He serves as commissioner in a county in the state of Texas in the United States.

On November 8, 2016, he goes up for re-election…

And his wife, Charlyn Daugherty, wants him out of the house. She complains in a humourous political ad that Gerald always wants to “fix things” and he talks endlessly about all the things he wants to fix while in office.

Yes, the ad is hella funny…

Charlyn is comic gold. In the ad, she consistently rolls her eyes at her husband and in a soft, monotone voice claims that her husband is super annoying.

In an interview with CNN, Gerald said that the eye rolling comes naturally to his wife…

Jeanne Moos (whose reporting always cracks me up) interviewed Gerald. When she asked him if his wife truly rolls her eyes that often, Gerald responded:

She actually does. She only had to do two or three takes on that.”
